5" Flange Puller
Great tool for pulling shaft or transmission flanges. Works much better than a three jaw puller. The price was great too. If you are in a hurry to get this puller, don't ship via USPS. It took 5 days to get to me via USPS 2 day shipping.

Works well!
I broke another flange puller before I bought this one.  It is heavy duty and did the job.

Strong, rugged and reliable.
Although I had to cut the length of the drive
bolt down about an inch because of the tight
quarters this little monster was able to wrench
the prop coupling off of my 1-1/4" shaft.
Mind you, this had been on since new in 1973,
and because the shaft is bronze and the
coupling is steel, there was some trouble with
corrosion fusing the two.  Mapp gas was not
hot enough to get the job done, but the
oxy/acetylene 'blue wrench' finally let
this little beast get the job done.

Worked but get fine thread grade 5 or 8 bolts
This puller worked well for our application where there was not much room.  Suggest staying away from home depot to get your bolts though.  Course thread bolts moved the shaft out of the coupling but it took 2 days with little movement.  Third day, bought grade 8 fine thread bolts and nuts, plenty of washers.  Worked much better this way.  Would have been nice to know this ahead of time.

Very robust.
works great and very solid. Get a selection of shorter grade 8 bolts for it for tight spaces.

Use Fine Thread Bolts -- Save yourself 2 days of pain!!!
My boat has little exposed shaft to remove the coupling for a PSS Dripless Shaft Seal.  Recommend using grade 8 fine thread bolts and large flat washers and various size sockets which work pretty well.  Home Depot bolts are too course thread. Center bolt was not helpful in my application.  This kit is a permanent tool for the boat now.
